RALLY RESULTS
All of us at Brit Bits, Inc., were pleased to host Brit Bits Tri-State Rally on Aug. 13, 2005
to show our appreciation for our friends and customers.
Mark McLean developed and test drove the route, and Norman Michaels and his wife,
Charlotte Mandell, created the challenges that together made it a fun-filled rally. Coffee and
pastries were served during the driver’s meeting, and then 24 little British cars were sent off
at two-minute intervals in search of answers to questions along the route.
The route made a circuit through New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine, ending back at
Brit Bits where lunch was served while Norman tallied the scores. While it was a bit hot at the
end, both some tempers and the outside temperature, all had a great time from the comments
I heard. We hope to be able to host an event again next year.
Many thanks go to Mark for his routing skills, to Norman for the huge amount of time he devoted
to making the rally a success, to Allison and Dean Bowen for excellent cookies and drinks. And
also to Mindy at the Red Ginger for pastries, coffee and a fine lunch spread. And thanks to all
who participated. We’re glad you came.
Scores were calculated from distance driven, time taken and answers to many trick questions.
Points were added for variations in time and distance and for wrong or missing answers, so fewest
points won.
