Rally Round The Square

A great big British smile (I guess that would be a twitch of the upper lip) from all of us here at Brit Bits to all the drivers and their all-important navigators who took part in the Rally Round The Square. Final results are posted below.

Although all the drivers and navigators were smiling at the finish, some of their comments indicate there was a tiny bit of friction along the way.

Here’s a sample of the comments:

• “D-Day.”
• “Behind every great man is a good woman.”
• “Like the Cold War.”
• “Lovingly controlled chaos.”
• “Vietnam War. We used to do well; we’re now older and grumpier.”
• “Total harmony and fun.”
• “A bumpy road. Dropped wife off at gas station.”
• “Laughing a lot watching other cars coming and going as in a Peter Sellers movie.”
• “Falklands. Quick and easy domination of one over the other.”
• “Woodstock.”
• “He’s annoying.”
• “Very good. She’s the boss.”
• Like two peas in a TD.”

And this creative effort:

“The rally has been lots of fun
We’re sad to say that it is done
Communication was with a smile
That hasn’t happened in quite a while
Forty years together is our score
We’ll be together 40 more -- even after this rally”

We all had a great time too and look forward to doing it again next year.
